Review Policy
I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I could remember, particularly in the genre of romance books which I have been reading for around 25 years now. This site is the accumulation of several favourite pastimes.
I wish to thank you for taking the time to read this policy page. I hope doing so will stop any confusion over my views on reviewing books. If you feel I’ve missed something or something isn’t clear, don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll add or edit as appropriate.
I have created this page for anyone interested in having me review their book, but please note that the books I normally review are ones I have legally purchased myself. If it is a review of a book I am given to read this will be clearly marked at the top of the review itself. Unless a review has this disclaimer then it is a book I have purchased personally.
I can be contacted via the button in the right sidebar at any time.
Before I go any further let me thank you if you are considering asking me to review your book. I am sincerely flattered by your faith in my reviewing skills, such as they are, and even if I should choose not to do so I want each and every one of you to know how much just knowing you considered (or asked me) to do so meant to me.
So without further ado, here it is:

First things first, this is an ADULT book site/blog. So books reviewed here are for adult readers, while I am open to all types of fiction books there is no guarantee that I will review any titles which do not fit into my nominated genres.
Romance novels I read range from regular mass printed Harlequin/Mills and Boon lines to those published by independent presses such as Samhain/Total-E-Bound and other similar publishers.
If you wish to submit a book for review on this site please read below, thank you.
I read all types of romantic fiction (including erotica) but prefer the following genres:
- Paranormal Romance/Erotica is my addiction, both heterosexual and M/M in nature.
- Contemporary Romance/Erotica, both hetero and M/M.
- Historical Romance/Erotica, with a special affinity to the Regency Era.
- Fantasy Romance/Erotica, both hetero and M/M
I will read books which contain ménage and elements of BDSM.
I am a romance slut when it comes to my reading, and I tend to like to read of the spicier side of life. This began with the Temptation and Blaze lines which Harlequin published and has only grown since discovering eBooks and independent publishers.
I don’t read:
- F/F fiction of any kind. Although I’m a big fan of the M/M genre I just can’t take to F/F at all.
- Anything which isn’t romantic fiction of some type, sorry I do read the occasional biography or true crime book but not enough to consider reviewing them. Sorry.
If your book falls into the accepted genres/categories here are a few things which should settle your mind:
- I prefer eBooks and accept various formats. Including Kindle, PDF and ePub.*
- All submitted books will be treated in accordance with the rules set out by the publisher/author. No review copies will ever be shared, given away or sold.
- Reviews aren’t guaranteed within a specific time frame unless otherwise set out prior to acceptance.
- While I can’t promise you a positive review I can promise that all reviews will be 100% my own honest personal opinion, written completely in my own words.
- If I finish your book I will review it, but in the case of DNF books please note I won’t as I don’t feel I can give a proper review if I haven’t read the book in it’s entirety.
- I am a sucker for a HEA ending, so please note that should the book not have one it will probably affect my review and rating/grade I give it.
*Two factors led to my preference for eBook ARC/Review copies.
- The fact that I am not a US citizen might make sending physical books for review rather expensive.
- Most importantly I believe is that, no offence intended to any party, we all need to take security precautions with our dealings online. My personal privacy, and by extension that of my readers, is of the utmost importance to me and as such endorsed this preference.
