Digital Readers
Here I hope to review/list and generally talk … or bitch … about my eReading devices.
As well as non-dedicated devices I might use or attempt using to read eBooks on.
My list of eReaders are as follow:
- Sony PRS-505 -> my original eInk reader which is now 2½ years old.
- Kindle 3 3G -> now referred to as the Kindle Keyboard. I bought one on launch on Amazon UK in September 2010.
- Kobo Vox -> my latest reader. Colour LCD backlit eReader. Runs Android 2.3 and allows me via installed applications to read all my Kindle DRM titles and my Adobe Digital Editions epubs (bought for my 505) as well as Kobo epubs and any side-loaded eBooks by using applications such as Aldiko. Or simply importing into Kobo with non-DRM epubs.
I have also read using such applications available for my iTouch, where I use the Stanza application mostly, but have also used the Kindle and Kobo apps occasionally.
