Yes it’s official, and I am totally and utterly not dead!

I am trying to use the dictation software installed on my new iPad to help with creating some of the written blog posts on this site. That way I will not have to rely on only video and audio blog postings.

Just Saturday past saw the delivery of my new touchscreen Kindle, already I’m seeing the advantages of this variation of the Kindle over my previous keyboard 3G version. Although there’re also some negatives, like the limited 3G access in comparison to the keyboard edition.

I am also going to use this new version of the Kindle to primarily hold any books I wish to consider reviewing on this blog. I intend to be more selective on content I add to this Kindle.

I’m looking forward to seeing how not only that Kindle, and also my new Android tablet, as well as my iPad will help me in keeping my blogs up to date. If nothing else I intend to have a great deal of fun learning how to use these devices on a daily basis.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank all my visitors for their patience over the last few months while my health continued to wildly fluctuate. Unfortunately my health continues to be a cause of concern as my various conditions continue to flare up. Hopefully with the help of this extra technology I will be able to blog more frequently on in the future.

One can only hope!

Thanks once again for your patience, I hope to post more frequently in the coming weeks and months.

Well I’m beginning to make my first attempts at reviewing with either video reviews but also dictation.

My Sony Digital Dictaphone arrived today and I purchased it bundled with Dragon 11 Recorder Edition. At the moment it’s learning my voice/speech and creating my profile.

I read aloud some text into the device, transferred it to my pc and imported it into the software. As this can take up to an hour depending on how much text you dictated I’ve left it analysing on the laptop.

If the transcription is more accurate than my attempts with windows 7 own voice recognition software I’ll be soon able to get some reviews I’ve had pending uploaded. So good news there.

I’ve been trying out video reviews as well, and my editing software arrived today in the same order as the Dictaphone so either way I’ll have a way to create/upload my book reviews more regularly despite my hands/wrists and other RA pain.

I’ll sign off here for now. But first let me thank everyone who has still visited my blog regardless of the lack of actual updates and a special thanks to those who have followed me in my new widget. I’m trying to check daily and return any follows where other bloggers have the same widget. If I have overlooked you just post a reply on my blog. The special GFC post at the top of the page currently would probably be the most suitable post to use if you wish to and I’ll return you follow asap.

Well, it’s March already isn’t it? Where did January and February go exactly?

So my Dabs order finally got dispatched last night. Yeah!!!

They arrived at the Wednesbury Depot at midnight, departed the depot 60 seconds later and are goddess knows where now because there has been no change according to the tracker since 1 minute after midnight this morning.

As you know – and I didn’t know the cut off was so soon sorry to those wishing to keep following me in some way! – GFC is changing and not allowing non-Blogger blogs to use the GFC anymore.

I’ve quickly, just this moment, finished signing up for a new follower type service which you will find in the left column above the present GFC widget. If you wish to sign up for this new service and continue to follow in such a way feel free. If you don’t wish to join yet another service, and I don’t blame you as I feel overwhelmed sometimes from all the different social media sometimes, you can always switch to subscribing via email if you wish to keep up to date in that way instead.

The choice is fully yours the visitors as it has always been as far as I am concerned.

If you’ve read some of my previous recent posts you will know I am looking into other ways to keep adding new reviews to my site when I am not feeling too well. Especially as my hands/wrists continue to flare up.

I am getting ready to post my first video book review so that will be different and might be interesting. Both for me and for you the visitors.

I must apologise for leaving this to the last moment as I’ve been super busy the past few weeks with hospital visits and family obligations regardless of my health problems.

So, feel free to follow me via the new widget on the left, subscribe via email, or just visit via your preferred choice of device and browser. The choice of completely yours.

Let me take this opportunity to thank all you out there who have stayed with me through the past few difficult months. It’s much appreciated by me.

I went to enter my blog and got a Norton malicious alert, as if, my blog isn’t malicious or host such content to this time Norton is wrong.

On second attempt I got my blog to load in a clean new window. Didn’t know what happened the first time. My blog started to load when Norton jumped in and wouldn’t let me continue. I closed the window, opened a new one and no such warning. A glitch with Norton, now there’s a surprise, yes that was sarcasm there in case it didn’t come over in typed text properly.

I forgot to add to my previous blog post about my order with Dabs which pre-dates my Amazon one which is half-way delivered.

The house phones we wanted have been ‘allocated’ to my order since it was placed on Monday, yesterday AM when I got up my expected delivery date had changed from Friday the 2nd to Monday the 5th of March and still the other two items despite the phones were still undergoing ‘processing’.

Yesterday afternoon I checked out of curiosity and found that my Sony Vegas software for editing my video reviews that I intend to add to my blog has changed from ‘processing’ to ‘allotted’ and the expected delivery date for my order had changed back to Friday.

This morning I checked on my iPod prior to coming out and the status of my items hadn’t changed but for some weird reason my Vegas Software and house phones had an expected delivery date of January 1st while the ‘processing’ item the Sony dictaphone still said March 2nd.

So returning from grocery shopping I did a check on all my various emails, outstanding orders and delivery trackers and found that while my items status say the same that no expected delivery date is present on my order page. I have received no email from dabs so I don’t know why I no longer have my expected delivery date stated at all.

So I’ll just have to wait and see.

Hands are hurting, again I hear you all tut, (just kidding!), so I’ll sign off this post here.
